Presentation Abstract

About the Program:

In 2007, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), PMI 's global alliance partner for OPM3 ProductsSuite is doing presentations throughout the Midwestern states entitled, “Everyone can Implement OPM3!” OPM3 is the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model. OPM3 is the first standard for organizational project management published by the Project Management Institute (PMI®). OPM3 provides the organizational framework that helps organizations align their strategic goals to the successful completion of projects in organizations. More importantly, for organizations that desire to improve their project management maturity, OPM3 provides guidance to help organizations plan projects to improve their maturity while conserving resources.

This presentation gives project management personnel tools, tips, and helpful pointers needed for successful OPM3 implementations. Examples of firms that have implemented and benefited from implementation will be presented. The program also highlights the successful OPM3 Assessors and Consultants Certification program.  The process of becoming a PMI Certified OPM3 Assessor or Consultant will also be discussed. A number of books entitled, “Everyone can Implement OPM3!” will be available.
