Presentation Abstract |
|
Business intelligence (BI) and Data
warehousing (DW) are IT disciplines
which have rapidly evolved over the
last decade to become the main stay of
the corporate reporting and analysis
needs. Today planning, designing and
building a data warehouse and business
intelligence solution is a high risk,
complex and expensive undertaking
requiring knowledge and expertise in
multiple information technology
disciplines spanning – at a high level
a wide variety of tools, technologies,
skills and processes.
This executive seminar aims to inform
and educate project managers with a
foundational knowledge-base on
Business Intelligence and Data
Warehousing. Using a role play
approach we introduce in a simple,
clear and humorous way:
· Fundamental
concepts and terminologies
· Provide
a visual end-to end process view of a
BI & DW project solution
·
Share project management tips,
top risks and mitigation approaches
·
Educate
about different capabilities of
business intelligence (OLAP,
Dashboards, Scorecards, Data Mining)
· Share
different types of business and
technology roles/resources essential
to successfully manage and deliver a
data warehouse and business
intelligence solution
