Named in
honor of James Snyder, PMI® Founder, Fellow, and Chair of the PMI Educational Foundation,
the PMI James R. Snyder Center for Project Management
Knowledge and Wisdom officially launched operations on 6
December 2001. Located in PMI headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania,
the Center provides relevant, reliable, and timely information
for the global practice and profession of project management.
Among the
Center’s services are Reference/Research
Services for answers to project management-related
questions, Document
Delivery of articles from PMI-published journals and
conference proceedings, and Customized
Alerting services to notify recipients of new publications
of interest. The
Center also will publish a quarterly electronic newsletter.
To capture the intellectual capital contained in the
Institute’s literature and in the minds of its experts, the
Center maintains the K&WC
Knowledgebase, a catalog of books, journals, and reports
held in the Center as well as abstracts of articles from PMI
literature.

Members can now access the inaugural issue of the K&WC
quarterly newsletter, PM KnowledgeWire, in the PMI
Members Area!
This issue centers on
“Selling Project Management in Your Organization.”
It provides information on other articles related to
selling project management and also websites, which have
